Jan Carlos Ozuna was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, son of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. He writes positive and stimulating songs to encourage his fans to achieve their dreams. At an early age, he developed a great passion for the urban music genre and since age 12 began to write songs, creating his music independently. Being a millennial, Ozuna started to publish songs on YouTube. In 2015,  "Si Tu Marido No Te Quiere" and "No Quiere Enamorarse" became viral hits with more than 150 million views on YouTube. Requested by their fans, the songs also begun playing on radio in Latin America, Puerto Rico and the United States. In March 2016, he released a remix of "No Quiere Enamorarse" with urban superstar Daddy Yankee, it immediately generated millions of views on YouTube. His success also reached the Billboard charts, his collaboration on “la Occasion” became the first ever Latin trap song charting. During the span of his short career, the young singer-songwriter has already collaborated with several artists of the urban genre, including the main stars as well as the leaders of the new generation. In that same year, he began to sing in massive concerts and has become an idol among the millennial generation. Ozuna closed 2016 with more than 250 sold-out concerts in North America, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. In the summer of 2017 he embarked on his first official tour, the “Odisea World Tour” reaching 25 cities in the United States and several countries in Europe. Considered a social media phenomenon, Ozuna has accumulated more than than 16.1 million subscribers on YouTube and about 11 million followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Ozuna is the only urban music independent artist that has placed five songs simultaneously on the Apple Music Top Ten. After the smashing success as an independent artist, Ozuna drew the attention of the international music industry.  In 2017, his independent record label VP Entertainment/Dímelo Vi signed a distribution contract with Sony Music Latin. Their first project together is the release of Ozuna’s first album entitled “Odisea”.  In June of the same year, Ozuna received the Best New artist Award (Artista revelacion) at Univision Network’s Premios Juventud, validating that he is the musical phenomenon of the new generation and an iconic star that appeals to audiences of all ages. Ozuna’s mission is to make music as a way to help underprivileged children. For this purpose, he created a nonprofit organization called Odisea Children, which aims to help children and youth to have access to adequate infrastructure and facilities for education, practice spots, develop their talents and achieve a better future.
