FAQs
Q: Where can I park and is there a parking fee?
A: Rupp Arena operates controlled parking areas located on High Street and Cox Street. The following are exempt from paying a parking fee in a Rupp Arena controlled parking area:
- Student with cap and gown
- Fayette County School employee with current Fayette County parking tag
- Faculty/Staff/Students with valid school id badge
- Band members that show their band instrument
Q: I would like to present a Graduate with a gift of flowers and balloons, is this allowed?
A: Flowers are permissible, but helium balloons are not allowed in Rupp Arena.
Q: Is there reserved seating for those with accessible needs?
A: There will be seating for those that are mobility impaired in our permanent accessible areas located at the top of Sections 22, 23, 30, 32, and 33.
Q: I would like to take photos of the graduate, where is a good place?
A: Triangle Park (located in front of Lexington Center) is available pre-ceremony. For post ceremony photos, the Graduates exit at the back of Rupp Arena, near the loading docks, near the Cox Street parking area.
Q: I would like to get an up close photo as my Graduate leaves the stage, after receiving diploma, how do I get to the floor?
A: The floor seating area is open only to Graduates, Faculty and Staff of Fayette County public schools. There will be a professional photographer on site that captures each Graduate as they receive diploma and leave the stage. All cameras are welcome, including video, but please be courteous of those around you. No tripods can be set in aisle ways.
Q: Where do Graduates enter for line-up?
A: All Graduates are to report loading Docks 8/9 at the rear of Rupp Arena for check-in. Only Graduates are allowed to enter the Arena from this area. All family, friends, etc. are to enter the Arena via the High Street entrance.
Q: Will Rupp Arena concessions be open during Fayette County High School Graduation?
A: Rupp Arena concessions will be open offering beverage service only.
Q: Where can the public enter Rupp Arena to attend graduation ceremonies?
A: The public can enter into the Arena via the High Street entrance.
Q: What time can I get into Rupp Arena for graduation ceremonies?
A: Doors open to the public one hour prior to the scheduled time of ceremony.
Q: Are there reserved seats for the graduation ceremonies?
A: The only reserved seating is on the floor for Graduates, Faculty and Staff. The public seats are General Admission, no reserved seats. Seating is available only in the lower arena.
