NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Christian music’s largest annual tour, the Winter Jam 2010 Tour Spectacular, will hit 44 cities beginning in January and is slated to feature some of the top artists in Christian music. Winter Jam 2010 will kick-off January 8 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, stopping in Atlanta; Cincinnati; Oklahoma City; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Birmingham, Alabama; Wichita, Kansas; Nashville, Tennessee; Champaign, Illinois; and Des Moines, Iowa, among other cities, before concluding March 28 in Louisville, Kentucky. Forty-five of the top Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will again invade the famed Rupp Arena on May 29th and 30th to challenge some of the rankest bulls on the planet at PBR Bullnanza - Lexington. The action will start at 8:00PM both days with a rockin' show that promises non-stop, heart pounding action for two straight hours nightly! This is not a rodeo…this is modern day Man vs. Beast, THIS IS PBR-BULLNANZA!
PBR – Bullnanza, a two-day bull riding extravaganza produced by Lazy E Productions, is sanctioned by the PBR and will be one stop on the 2009 million dollar PBR Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour. Bullnanza has a 20-year history of producing world-class bull riding events across the country. Lazy E Productions looks forward to again producing this championship level event in Lexington!
Friday night's performance (May 29) features one full go-round of action with the top 45 PBR riders competing. On Saturday night (May 30), the 45 PBR riders will again compete in the second round. The scores from each round are added, and the top 12 advance to the Bullnanza Short-Go to determine the champion. In all, Bullnanza will feature 112 breathtaking rides over the two day competition.
Some of the best PBR stock contracting firms, headed by multiple-time Contract of the Year – Sammy Andrews, will form one of the rankest pens of bulls ever assembled in Northern Kentucky. Last year, the Professional Bull Riders made their debut in Lexington, KY for the first annual PBR – Bullnanza event May 23rd and 24th. Former PBR Rookie of the Year and current 2009 PBR World Standings leader, Kody Lostroh fought off 3- time PBR World Champion and 2-time Bullnanza Champion Adriano Moraes to claim his first ever Bullnanza title. Lostroh, from Longmont, Colorado was the highest scoring rider on 3 bulls which earned him the Bullnanza Gold Buckle. Lostroh came to Lexington along with a cast of PBR stars that included the likes of Adriano Moraes, Austin Meier, Josh Koshel, Dustin Elliott, and Travis Briscoe. In the Bullnanza Short Round, Loshroh was the high man back which made him the last rider needing to cover his bull for the win. Lostroh not only covered, but won the round with an 89-point ride on H.D. Pages' bull Recoil which made the finish one of the most exciting in the history of PBR Bullnanza events.

Buckcherry Dubbed the "Next Great American Rock Band," has evolved from playing in front of 200 people to sold-out crowds of tens of thousands in just two years. Avenged Sevenfold (or A7X) the metal core outfit were still attending high school in Huntington Beach, CA, when they formed their band in 1999. Nevertheless, it didn't take long for M. Shadows (vocals), Zacky Vengeance (guitar), Synyster Gates (guitar), the Reverend (drums), and Johnny Christ (bass) to make an impression with their aggressive hybrid of metal and punk-pop. The band made its official debut in July 2001, releasing Sounding the Seventh Trumpet on the Good Life label before moving to the Hopeless roster for 2003's Waking the Fallen. Warner Bros. took interest in the band's aggressive sound and issued its breakthrough release, City of Evil, in June 2005. BAND RETURNS HOME IN SUPPORT OF ALL HOPE IS GONE
2009 MARKS 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BAND'S LANDMARK DEBUT ALBUM
Grammy-award winning hard rockers Slipknot announced today their first U.S. headline tour in support of their #1 album All Hope Is Gone. The tour, which kicks off on January 23rd in St. Paul, MN, will hit 33 cities across the country, and include an historic stop at New York's Madison Square Garden, a first for the band. Coheed and Cambria and labelmates Trivium round out the bill.
Frontman Corey Taylor says of the trek, "2009 is the 10 year anniversary of the world's first taste of this band. To celebrate we are coming back out with a killer tour, a couple great bands and the same ferocity with which we attack life. We want all of our maggots to come and celebrate with us, because if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have been here for 10 years. Get ready for chaos!"
A special iTunes presale will start on December 3 and be open to those who took part in the band's digital album presale earlier this year. Internet presales via Ticketmaster, will commence on December 5, and the majority of dates will go on sale December 6th.
The All Hope Is Gone World Tour marks Slipknot's first headline run in America since the release of the album in August. The band is currently playing to sold out arenas on the other side of the globe; including stops in Russia, Japan, Australia, Europe and wrapping in the United Kingdom with three sold-out nights at London's Hammersmith Apollo. Preceding All Hope Is Gone's #1 debut, the band held the headline slot on this summer's sold-out inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, which drew the biggest crowds to a metal festival since Slipknot played Ozzfest in 2004.
To celebrate the tour, Hard Drive, hosted by Lou Brutus will be airing a Slipknot All Hope is Gone World Tour Special from December 3rd-6th on radio stations all across the country. The special will feature exclusive live tracks from their current tour as well as candid interviews and other surprises.

In conjunction with the Bellobration performances, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will host an "Elephant Rinse" in Triangle Park, adjacent from Rupp Arena, on Friday, September 26th at 1:30pm. A total of 5 elephants will be treated to a special rinsing by the Lexington Fire Department, to be followed by a brief elephant brunch. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey clowns will entertain the crowd beginning at 1:15pm, providing circus fans of all ages with clown noses and giveaways.

Madness Tickets Distributed September 27
Fans may begin lining up Wednesday, September 24.
Tickets for the 2008 Big Blue Madness at Rupp Arena will be available Saturday, September 27, at 7 a.m., at the Memorial Coliseum ticket windows on Euclid Avenue and online at UKathletics.com and Ticketmaster.com. Madness, the first open practice opportunity for Kentucky's 2008-09 men's and women's basketball teams, is Friday, October 10, at 10:30 p.m. Fans will be allowed to enter Rupp Arena beginning at 9 p.m. the night of Big Blue Madness.
Tickets are free again this year, and there will be a limit of four tickets per person at Memorial Coliseum. Online orders will have a minimal service fee attached, and there will be a limit of four tickets per household.
At the request of campus public safety officials, fans wishing to line up ahead of time at Memorial Coliseum are asked to do so no earlier than 7 a.m., Wednesday, September 24. The Athletics Department will provide portable restroom facilities, but safety concerns will prohibit the use of permanent, wooden-type structures, and propane tanks or other open flames used in cooking.
This will be the fourth time Madness has been held at Rupp Arena, where over 23,000 fans have attended each of the last three years.
Flashback - The Classic Rock Experience Tour Cancelled
The Tour Management of Flashback; The Classic Rock Experience featuring Mystic Orchestra, announced this morning that they are cancelling the fall tour, scheduled to stop at Rupp Arena on October 24th.
As this was a new production, the tour was experiencing a variety of technical challenges and tour management felt that it was best to revise and rebuild the show to create "the true rock concert experience" before continuing the tour.
Once the show is retooled, their plans are to tour again in the Spring of 2009. The tour management made extensive apologies for this cancellation but felt unless they could bring the best show possible to the fans, it was best to retool in the studio instead of developing the show on the road.

Seven National Recording Artists to Headline Annual July 4th Red, White and Boom Event
98.1 The Bull announced today that Red, White and Boom, Lexington?s largest outdoor country concert,?will feature seven national recording artists during its annual July 4th downtown celebration.
A change to this year?s event is the addition of a nominal admission fee of $5.00 that will be charged to all patrons 13 years of age and older. The small admission fee is designed to help offset the expense of bringing in national headline talent.Children 12 and under will still be admitted free when accompanied with a paying adult.
According to Michael Jordan, Clear Channel Lexington Operations Manager, "For less than the cost of a movie matinee ticket, patrons can celebrate the 4th of July with eight hours of back-to-back entertainment by nationally renowned recording artists and watch the largest fireworks display in the area. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have announced additional dates for their North American tour. The added dates run from July 7 to the 19th and round out the already announced tour that begins in Louisville, KY on April 19th.

Headlining the monster truck line up this weekend is the world?s most famous monster truck, Grave Digger. Commonly known by fans as the black and green wrecking machine, Grave Digger is making its first Rupp Arena Monster Jam appearance. To make the debut complete, driving for the Grave Digger team this weekend at Rupp Arena is Dennis Anderson.
Anderson is the originator of the Grave Digger monster truck 30 years ago and hails from Kill Devil Hills, NC. The truck name came from Anderson?s mud racing days of no holds bar driving style and referring to competitors that he would dig them a grave with his truck. That philosophy carried over to the monster truck when Grave Digger was born. The pedal to the medal driving style also carried over as Anderson has driven Grave Digger to the winners circle 3 times at the Monster Jam World finals (2 Racing Championships and 1 Freestyle Championship). More importantly, Anderson has become a house hold name today with kids as millions of fans watch him every week on Speed Channel and play with toy replicas of his truck at home.
Grave Digger will have a line up of tough competition this weekend with veteran drivers behind the wheels of Destroyer, Devastator, Full Boar, and Rap Attack monster trucks. All trucks will compete in both side by side racing over crush cars and then the fan favorite Freestyle competition. Freestyle is when the trucks get to take the floor by themselves and show off their own personal driving skills for the fans.

Winter Jam 2008 Attracts More Fans Than Ever Before
Attendance escalates more than 20 percent to see best selling artists MercyMe, Skillet, BarlowGirl, NewSong and Mandisa
The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular is Christian music's largest annual musical tour and in 2008 they are bringing in more fans than ever before, with attendance trending 20 percent ahead of last year. In just six weeks, over 194,000 fans have come out to see the tour, while they have also seen a 32 percent increase of people making decisions for Christ. Disney's High School Musical Coming to Rupp Arena April 18 - 20!
The ice tour adds new level of cool to the hit musical phenomenon.
The cultural sensation "High School Musical" reaches a whole new level of "cool" with Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour. This ice spectacular is premiering September 29th, it was announced today by Thomas Schumacher, president of Disney Theatrical Productions, and Kenneth Feld, chairman and CEO of Feld Entertainment.
The ice tour will feature a live fusion of songs, dance and team-spirited fun to celebrate the music of the original Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel movie, and its sequel "High School Musical 2," which is set to debut on the Channel this summer. Significant Changes Made to Red, White and Boom Event Policies to Ensure Safe, Fun July 4th Celebration!
Lexington, KY (June 21, 2007) Following the annual review with venue management, local government agencies and law enforcement officials, the Management Team of Red, White and Boom, Lexington's largest country concert, today announced it will make significant changes to its hospitality and security policies and procedures in an effort to provide optimal security and safety for the event.
Red, White and Boom will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with the Central Kentucky's Official fireworks display taking place immediately after the concert in Rupp Arena's Cox Street parking lot in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.
Patrons who attend the FREE country concert and fireworks show should now expect the Cox street parking lot to be fenced in and patron searches conducted at all parking lot entrance gates; limits on the types of items that patrons may carry into the Cox street parking lot including a ban on coolers of any type; and high visibility of uniformed security personnel in all areas of the Cox Street Parking lot.
The hospitality, guest service and security efforts on the Cox Street parking lot for Red, White and Boom will include the location of a concession stand within the newly fenced in Cox Street lot. The concession stand, which will be located under the bridge, will be operated by the Rupp Arena concession department, Red, White and Boom's food service provider. The store will offer food, beverages, and other items that may not be brought into the lot.
Red, White and Boom officials will station guest service and hospitality representatives at locations throughout the Cox Street Parking lot to allow for quick response to questions or concerns posed by patrons. "These security and hospitality procedures that we are putting in place on the Cox Street Parking lot for Red, White and Boom will help us provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the crowd of 50,000+," said Michael Jordan, Operations Director for Clear Channel Lexington. "We sincerely appreciate their patience and cooperation, and we are grateful to the Lexington Police Department and the Rupp Arena security staff that work with us each year to ensure that our patrons have a wonderful experience at Red, White and Boom."

LEXINGTON, KY ? Blue collar comedian Ron White brings his latest tour to Lexington with a stop at Rupp Arena on Saturday, April 14 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at the Lexington Center Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster.
From January 2000 through March 2003, Ron performed with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy in the highly acclaimed "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," a show that played to sold out audiences in over 90 cities and grossed over $15 million dollars. Warner Bros filmed the tour and "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie" was released as a major motion picture in theaters in March 2003 and later premiered on Comedy Central as the highest rated movie in the channel's history.
Ron has always been a storyteller, from the time he was a boy growing up in a small town in the middle of Texas oil country to selling windows for a living in Arlington to performing in sold-out theaters and arenas as a headlining comedian all across the country. For two decades he lived the life of a struggling comedian bouncing around to comedy clubs and driving to gigs in his beat-up Nissan pickup. In short, he paid his dues.
Ron's first solo comedy CD, "Drunk In Public," was released in November 2003 showcasing the insightful and hilarious White, who manages to be both razor-sharp and blunt. Bob Seger has been hitting the road in support of his latest album, "Face the Promise," on his first concert tour since 1996. The Michigan native and his Silver Bullet Band has played to sell out audiences and rave reviews since kicking off the tour in November.

Rupp Arena Announces New 30th Anniversary Commemorative Cup!
Rupp Arena will offer a commemorative 30th Anniversary beverage cup with the purchase of any large soft drink starting tonight, Friday, December 22 at the UK vs. U Mass Men's Basketball Game.
The 32 ounce commemorative cup lists every event that has taken place at Rupp Arena since its premier concert in November 1976 (Lawrence Welk) through the 30th anniversary date in 2006 (Aly & AJ). The cup lists hundreds of events by calendar year but does not include any UK Mens and Women's Basketball Games, KHSAA Sweet 16, or NCAA basketball tournament play. Room on the cup's surface would not accommodate such an extensive list.
"People will have a great time looking over the list of concerts, family shows and sporting events and reminiscing about the wide array of entertainment events that have taken place in this legendary venue," said Bill Owen, Lexington Center President and CEO.
"For anyone doubting that there is a lot of activity taking place in Lexington," he continued, "Take a look at this impressive roster. We took the liberty of only listing each artist once... otherwise, we would have to start selling soft drinks by the barrel!"

Rupp Arena Launches New Website!
LEXINGTON, KY – After months of construction, the launch of a totally redesigned and upgraded Rupp Arena website was announced today by The Lexington Center.
The new website, located at www.rupparena.com, was designed by in-house graphic designer and webmaster Matt Johnson. The renovated website features a complete roster of information about upcoming events and guest services as well as photographs, seating diagrams and sign up link for FIRST IN LINE, Lexington Center's e-mail club which provides announcements, presale offers and discount opportunities for events happening at Lexington Center venues including Rupp Arena and The Lexington Opera House and The Lexington Convention Center.
According to Carl Hall, Director of Arena Management, "The new Rupp Arena website has been completely transformed to better meet the demands of our growing audiences and discerning presenters. Patrons can check out the site for information on events coming to the arena or visit our photo gallery see photos from shows they've recently enjoyed or had the misfortune to miss. Our goal is to provide an information-packed and entertaining site that fully illustrates what we strive to provide as Central Kentucky's premier entertainment venue."
The redesign of the Rupp Arena site is the first stage of an entire overhaul of all of the Lexington Center websites. Announcements will be forthcoming to usher in the newly redesigned websites for the Lexington Convention Center and the Lexington Opera House which are currently under construction.
